“The Big Bang Theory” actress Mayim Bialik is telling fans on Twitter that she will be able to keep her fingers after a car accident in the Hollywood area of Los Angeles sent her to the hospital.

According to the Los Angeles police spokesman Richard French, the 36-year-old actress’s left hand and thumb were cut severely. Meanwhile it is Bialik’s husband who is typing for her on her laptop as she’s in pain but her hand will remain intact. She was glad to inform fans in Twiiter that she’s in pain but will keep her fingers.

The accident occurred when another car made a left turn and crashed into Bialik’s vehicle shortly before noon Wednesday.

None of the three occupants of the other car were seriously injured and left the scene on their own.
French says no citations were issued.

By-standers took her to a nearby hospital and recounted to the [police that the actress was driving alone in a white Volvo when her car collided with a vehicle driven by a tourist from Chile, at the intersection of Hollywood Boulevard and La Brea.

Bialik, married and a mother of two, is popular for her role as Blossom Russo in NBC’s series “Blossom.” She is nominated for an Emmy for playing Amy Fowler on “The Big Bang Theory.”

Bialik was a child star and is currently appearing in “The Big Bang Theory.” She was recently nominated for an Emmy for outstanding supporting actress in a comedy series.
