A car accident injury brought two Chicago police officers to John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County at about 10:40 p.m. Wednesday.

Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro said that the duo was responding to a call with their “emergency equipment”.

When a Chrysler refused to yield the right of way, the car of the cop struck the Chrysler as it was going through an intersection at 29th and Halsted streets, continued Alfaro.

The two officers were treated for their injuries and expected to be released soon. Alfaro said that the driver of the Chrysler suffered no injury.

Meanwhile, Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Ron Gaines said that the police department’s Major Accidents Investigations Unit is making an ongoing investigation of the crash.
