NORWALK, Calif. – After a brief pursuit, Deputies of the Sheriff were finally able to place several suspected car thieves behind bars.
Authorities related that the chase started at around 9 o’clock in the evening of Tuesday as deputies chased the operator who stole Honda all throughout the district of Lakewood.
Finally, the pursuit ended when the driver, losing control of the vehicle due to speed, crashed the stolen car into a Mini Cooper near the corner of Alondra and Horst avenues in Norwalk.
The police were able to apprehend three suspects: two men and including a woman who was driving the stolen car.
The driver of the Mini Cooper that was hit by the stolen Honda suffered non-life threatening injuries and was delivered to the local hospital.
Meanwhile in Santa Ana California, a search is underway for a driver who hit a seven-year-old girl and drove away from the scene.
The hit-and-run incident took place in the vicinity of 400 block of South Birch Street at around 5 o’clock in the afternoon of Tuesday.
According to police, a 7-year-old girl and her mother were walking on a sidewalk when for unknown reasons; the girl darted into the street.
A operator of a dark-colored SUV hit the girl. He did not stop but dragged the girl about 15 yards. Then he fled from the scene.
The victim was immediately transported to the hospital and according to the medical staff, the girl sustained non-life threatening injuries to her head and body.
The investigation is ongoing as the hit-and-run driver is now the object of a search..
