WILLINGBORO — Police discovered that the Burlington woman who operating the wheel of a vehicle that crashed off Beverly-Rancocas Road and killed a passenger Saturday was driving with a suspended license.

The mishap happened just before 4 o’clock in the morning in the vicinity of Gallant Lane. A vehicle driven by a woman identified as Sade Conway, 26 years old, veered from the roadway and crashed into a tree behind a house on Gramercy Lane, police said Tuesday.
The passenger, identified as Carl Hall, 22, of Burlington, who was reportedly Conway’s boyfriend was riding in the front seat. He died in the scene, police said.

Conway was immediately transported to Cooper University Hospital in Camden with undisclosed injuries. Her condition was not available Tuesday.

An investigation is ongoing to determine why the vehicle went off the road. Police were no able to find out where the couple was coming from or where they were going. There was also no information if they are residents of Burlington Township or Burlington City.

As of Tuesday, police had not filed any criminal charges against Conway but New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission records revealed that she was driving the vehicle with a suspended license.

According to commission records, Conway’s license had been suspended 24 times. She also had multiple traffic violations during the last six years. Most recently was in June, when she was ticketed for not wearing a seat belt twice in the same day.

Police said that the involvement of Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office was routine and typical of any fatal accident.

Hall’s death was the 46th motor vehicle fatality that occurred in Burlington County as of this year, as shown in New Jersey State Police records. This ranks second from the New Jersey’s 21 counties, behind only Middlesex’s 56 vehicle deaths.
