Estell Manor – At least 5 people, including four children, were transported to the hospital after a late night car accident in Atlantic County.
The mishap took place after 11:30 in the evening of Wednesday about a mile from marker 15 on Route 50 in Estell Manor.
According to the police, the operator identified as Ammie Young, age 39 and resident of Egg Harbor City, was traveling southbound when her car for unknown reason left the road. It hit a utility pole and then a tree.
Young had with her three juvenile passengers. They were immediately taken to Atlanticare Regional Medical Center, Mainland Division for treatment. But one of the juvenile victims was airlifted by helicopter ambulance from the scene to Cooper Medical Center.
Young’s vehicle sustained heavy damage in the crash. The accident is still under investigation.
Police confirmed that on November 22, there were five people injured in a one-car crash early Thursday morning in Atlantic County. The crash happened just a little after midnight on Route 50 near the Estell Manor Park entrance in Estell Manor, N.J.
According to the authorities, the operator lost control of the car and ended up in the woods. An Action Cam showed the viewof a red car sitting among the trees with heavy damage to the front and side.
All five people in the car were transported to the hospital with one critically injured airlifted to Cooper Medical Center. As for now, there is no word yet on the conditions of the victims.
An investigation into this crash is being undertaken. There was no mention if any of the car occupants were wearing seat belts.
