Authorities are looking for person responsible of the death of a 20-year-old college student who was killed in a hit-and-run incident over the weekend.

Georgia State Patrol said Monday identified the coed as Alexandria Desir, age 20 and resident of Locust Grove. She was struck by a vehicle that witnesses conjectured to be a Saturn Vue. It happened late Saturday night while she was walking on Rose Ave. in Barnesville.

According to school officials, Desir was student at Gordon State College in Barnesville and was en route to a job at the Huddle House.

Gordon State spokesperson, Tamara Boatwright said in a statement that they were all heartbroken at the senseless death of this young woman who was at the prime of her life.

Investigators believed that the vehicle that struck Desir was a Saturn Vue, a model between years 2002 and 2005. GSP said it was easy to identify the right front corner of the vehicle is damaged and the light is missing.

For those who see a car of this model with some kind of damage and no light, then that is the car. Anyone with information on the case should contact the Georgia State Patrol.

Authorities are now searching for a suspect who hit-and-run after killing a college student who she was just walking to place of work at Barnesville’s Huddle House restaurant.

Patrol officials of Georgia stated that the fatality was Alexandria Desir resident of Locust Grove who died from a hit-and-run that late Saturday night or early Sunday morning.

Authorities learned that Desir was a coed at the State College Gordon in Barnesville.

The national paper of Atlanta reported that the Saturn Vue vehicle probably a 2002 to 2005model. It has also a right front corner damaged and a light is missing.

Barnesville is located 60 miles southeast from the City of Atlanta.

Authorities will be continuing their search for the driver responsible for the death of a college student who was just walking to her at Barnesville’s Huddle House restaurant.

State Patrol officials Georgia said late Saturday night Desir was hit by a car as she was walking towards her place of work at Rose Avenue in Barnesville.

Desir was studying at State College of Gordon in Barnesville and worked in a restaurant to support her studies.

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports, the investigators believed that the vehicle is a Saturn Vue that was manufactured during the years 2002 and 2005. The vehicle could be easily recognized as its right front corner is damaged and a light is missing.

Barnesville is located southeast of Atlanta around 60 miles from the city.
