A tragedy took place on the eve of Mother’s Day in which a utility pole was almost uprooted from the sidewalk near Lake Street and Cicero Avenue that Sunday. This was due to an auto accident under the CTA Green Line elevated tracks which killed four women. The casualties were identified as Iesha Nelson, Tyshyra Hines, Bernadette Harris and another woman whose name was not known.
Sincere Terry, aged 4, one of the six young children who lost their mothers in that car accident, learned that Sunday that his mother was gone forever.
The boy’s step-grandfather, James Williams said that he consoled the boy telling him that Mommy is way up there in the clouds but was not coming back.
Tyshyra Hines, 21, who was the boy’s mother with her three friends were fatalities in car accident last Saturday night, only minutes away before Mother’s Day officially started.
