FULTON COUNTY, GA –

The identity of the wrong driver who had caused a double fatal crash on Interstate 85 has been released by the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The incident had occurred on Wednesday afternoon just south of Interstate 285 interchange.

The wrong way driver was identified to be William B. Wright, 49, from Florida. Wright was driving a truck and had struck another truck that was pulling a single-wheel trailer.

The truck that was struck hit had a passenger who died on the scene. The victim was identified as 49-year-old Christopher O’Day from Canastota, New York.

The driver of the truck that was hit, 62-year-old Gary Tucker, sustained non-life threatening injuries and had received medical attention.

The dashboard camera of truck driver Arnold Gray had captured the wrong way driver on video before the accident happened.

Gray said that he noticed other drivers swerving out of the way before noticing a guy coming towards him and Gray just slowed down and try to get out of the way and as soon as the guy passed him, the guy went around the curve and losing his life.

The accident had been the fourth one involving a wrong driver in a span of two weeks.

Last Friday night, a wring way driver crashed into another vehicle on Highway 316 in Gwinnett county wherein both the driver’s involved had sustained injuries.

Meanwhile, on Ga 400, two more fatal wrong way incidents had occurred.

Carlyn Royball perished on scene after she crashed her vehicle into another vehicle that was driven by Kelly Stevens, an Atlanta radio personality, on the 24th of August.

On August 15, a driver was killed after being struck by a suspected drunk driver, according to the police.
