Los Feliz, Los Angeles – Road accident was tragic to the life of Damian Kevitt who used to be a healthy and enthusiastic cyclist; but today, he is in the ICU without two legs.

Police reported that Kevitt was biking near a freeway at Griffith Park when he was run over by a car and dragged some distance from the place and left him for dead along the roadside.

Kevitt’s mother, Michele Kevitt Kirkland, said that the errant driver sped up and struck her son under the vehicle; then dragged his body for almost a quarter of a mile along the freeway.

This enormous ordeal required the left and right legs of Kevitt to be amputated. In all, 20 bones of his body were broken and he had and will be undergoing various surgeries.

Kirkland said that the helmet her son was wearing spared his life; it protected his head from enormous injuries.

Dr. Elijah Wasson was driving along the way and witnessed the carnage on the freeway. He said that it was one the worst injuries he has witnessed as a physician for many years.

CHP is now on the alert for the male driver of a minivan possibly a Sienna Toyota which has a marked for sale on its body. The police believed that the operator was a male.

Kirkland is hoping that the culprit will soon be arrested and she the driver was so inhuman in running over some and left him dying on the road.

Meanwhile, LAPD is on the look-out for the operator of a hit-and-run collision is hit a man and left him critically injured in the Westlake district of  LA Street Crash last Friday.

At 12:05 o’clock in the morning, the victim identified as Francisco Perez, age 31, was crossing the street outside a crosswalk at the corner of 8th Street and Westlake Avenue. Authorities stated that Perez was hit by a minivan that was silver in color. The male operator did not stop but reportedly fled from the scene.

Perez sustained life-threatening injuries was transported to County-USC Medical Center where he stayed under critical condition.

Witnesses were able to see the incident and they observed that the driver was male Hispanic operating silver Odyssey Honda.

Anyone with more details of the accident is requested to call the police. All information is treated confidential.

At the same time, in Norwalk, Calif., one man riding a skateboard was hit and killed by a hit-and-run driver on an early Saturday morning.

Before 4:00 o’clock in the morning, a man on his skateboard was the victim of a collision which took place near the corner of Foster and Studebakers Roads.

Authorities identified victim as Daniel Ortiz, age 20, resident of Norwalk who was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver ran off after the tragedy and is now the object of a police manhunt. Authorities are requesting witnesses to come forward for any information regarding the driver and the vehicle.
