ATLANTA –

A freak accident on I-20 claimed the life of an 8-year-old boy.

According to troopers, a debris coming from a Freight tractor’s transmission flew over an interstate wall and hit a Chevy Trailblazer that was driven by Jameka Malone. The debris found its way through the windshield. The debris struck Malone in the arm before hitting and killing her son, Cameron McIIwain, who was a passenger in the backseat along with his 19-month old baby sister Kanary.

Quantaine Malone, Jameka’s husband and Cameron’s stepdad, said that Jameka told him that everything happened very fast that she can’t even recall what had happened.

Jameka Malone’s arm was successfully reattached by the doctors but failed yp save her hand.

Quantaine Malone traveled for 14 hours upon hearing the tragic news.

Quantaine Malone said that Cameron was Jameka’s heart for it was just him and her for awhile. Quantaine had just married Jameka three years ago.

An attorney for the Freightliner that was involved in the incident released a statement saying that they are actively investigating the cause of the tragic incident and they express their deepest sympathies to everyone who were affected and to their respective families.

Quantaine Malone is a truck driver himself and said that his family hopes that the truck driver involved will not harbor any guilt about the incident.

According to the authorities, investigation is still ongoing.
