Friday morning’s crash caused rush-hour traffic to back up for about 15 minutes nearly to the 2 freeway. The incident involved three or four sedans on the eastbound 134 freeway near the Figueroa Street exit in Eagle Rock.

California Highway Patrol responded to a call regarding the crash at 7:51 o’clock in the morning, according to CHP Officer Francisco Villalobos.

Villalobos told reporters that It was not immediately clear if anyone was injured in the crash; but he is certain that injuries would only be a minimum. He added that the backed up traffic was fortunately not to the point where it had a major impact.

Due to the crash, two of the sedans blocked the freeway’s two left lanes, but a CHP officer on the scene diverted the vehicles over to the freeway’s right shoulder in about 15 minutes, Villalobos said.

A CHP officer was still on the scene of the crash as of 9 o’clock in the morning. Until this time, they have not discovered the cause of the crash as it is still under investigation, he added.

Meanwhile, authorities closed two transition roads in the 134 and 210 freeways in Pasadena early Monday after a big-rig jackknifed on a slick roadway, sending one trailer and cab down an embankment.

Another crash was reported to the California Highway Patrol shortly after 2 a.m., said Officer Patrick Kimball.

A truck was carrying two trailers when one of which overturned and blocked the roadway connecting the eastbound 134 to the westbound 210. The second trailer, along with the big rig itself, had skidded down a nearby embankment.

Police had to close the westbound 210 connector to the 210 west, along with the eastbound 134 connector to the 210 west while the crews prepared to tow the truck and repair a broken guardrail. The truck driver was not injured. Kimball said the roads will be opened at about 7 a.m.
