Paramount, California — Police is conducting a search for a hit-and-run operator who hit an old man in Paramount last Saturday which caused the old man’s death. The victim was identified as Reuel De Villa, resident of Cerritos.
At around 4:00 o’clock in the morning, he was changing the tire of his JettaVolkswagen near Garfield Avenue along westbound 105 Freeway when he was hit by a Toyota 2007Tunda. Due to the force of the impact, De Villa was hurled into the air. Witnesses informed the authorities that the male driver stopped, got out of the car and then ran away from the scene on foot.
No one which direction he went. .De Villa dies on the spot due to critical injuries. After the accident, the ramps of the freeway were closed for three hours while the CHP were conducting their investigation.
The police is asking any witness who can provide more information to call the police. CHP had to close all freeway ramps along the area for about three hours as the conducted their investigation.
