CORAL GABLE – A multi-million lawsuit had been filed by the attorneys of the 68-year-old woman who was struck and killed in a traffic accident last Sunday against a 19-year-old student of University of Miami and against her father who they say is liable for the conduct of her daughter.

According to the lawsuit, Ivanna Victoria Villanueva was speeding, had been drinking, was negligent and had shown extreme recklessness and a wanton disregard for life.

According to the attorneys, Ivanna had been bar hoping and was speeding her brand new Audi SUV when she rear-ended 68-year-old Eyder Ayala’s vehicle.

Ayala is an Assistant Manager for 20 years at a McDonald’s restaurant and was heading home when the accident happened at around 4 in the morning.

The accident had occurred near the intersection of Lejeune Road and Majorca Avenue.

The force of the crash was so massive that the trunk was forced to the front seat and Ayala was killed instantly.
A hearing on Monday, before Villanueva was released on $50, 000 bond, had revealed by the prosecutor that Villaneuva had used fake identification cards to enter Fountainebleau Hotel’s Club Liv.

Brenda Vazquez, Ayala’s daughter, expressed distraught over the tragic passing of her mother. She adds that her mother was the most loving, exceptional, and wonderful person.

Ivan Morales, a spokesman of the Villanueva family, said that the family was devastated and saddened by the incident and that Ivanna is grief stricken and that everyone in the family wishes to convey their utmost sympathies.

Morales added that no members of the family would like to say anything on camera at this moment.

Villanueva is filed with charges of vehicular homicide and reckless driving and DUI charge could be added once tests results comeback. Villanueva is under house arrest and is fitted with electronic monitoring devices and only allowed to leave her home to attend her classes at University of Miami.
