On Friday morning, the police had to close Route 422 East following a multi-vehicle accident.

The multi-vehicle crash occurred around the area of Lower Pottsgrove near Armand Hammer Boulevard a little after rush hours at 9: 30 o’clock in the morning. Several vehicles going eastbound, including an armored car was involved in the wreck.

The operator of the armored vehicle was trapped inside and had to be extricated by the rescue crew. He was injured and was delivered to a local hospital.

Montgomery County said that this was only one of many crashes which happened after a minor snow squall which disrupted traffic during the day.
