San Diego, California – Officials reported that on Wednesday night, a pedestrian was killed after being run-over by a vehicle in City Heights..

California Highway Patrol stated that the unidentified pedestrian was trying to go across the roadway near the corner of University Avenue and California State Route 15 at around 7:05 o’clock in the evening. He was struck by a sport-utility Mercedes vehicle which witnesses claimed was driven by an unidentified female motorist around mid-thirties..

The pedestrian died on the scene. Meanwhile, the identity of the driver has not been released and she was not hurt.

Investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of this incident and file necessary charges.
