Kern County – Police reported that Monday night a pedestrian was hospitalized after she was delivered to the hospital by her hit-and-run driver in Bakersfield.

Bakersfield Police Department stated that at around 8:35 o’clock in the afternoon, Stephanie Tweedy, 31 years old from Bakersfield was trying to go across the roadway near the corner of Pioneer Drive and Royal Way. She was struck by a Durango Dodge that was operated by a male motorist who still remains unidentified.

The motorist stopped and delivered Tweedy to Community Hospital of San Joaquin to be treated for her injuries and then left the hospital soon after. His identity remains unknown; meanwhile investigations continue to identify and locate the hit-and-run driver.
