A nineteen year-old male teenager has been charged with multiple offenses, including impaired driving, after slamming a car into a house at north Toronto in the early hours of Monday morning.

The house that the teenager’s car had slammed into was located near Lawrence Avenue and Mt. Pleasant Road, according to the police. The accident had happened at around 4 in the morning on a Monday.

Although the suspect had tried to escape the scene of the accident on foot, the police officers were still able to arrest him after a short time later, according to Sgt. Scott Kingdon of 32 Division.

The damages brought about by the accident amounted to an estimate of $100,000.

One count of impaired driving was charged to the teenage suspect and one other count of driving with a blood alcohol level reaching beyond 80 mgs was charged to the suspect.
