One-vehicle accident injures one

PHILADELPHIA, Mo. – Monday was a bad day for a Paris teen as she was slightly injured at 10:15 p.m. in a one-car accident on Marion County Road 171 four miles northwest of Philadelphia.

Parisian 17 years old Rachel N. Forbis, was taken by Marion County Ambulance to Hannibal Regional Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Steven R. Reed, 19, of Philadelphia, was driving his 2000 Ford Explorer when he lost control. The Missouri State Patrol said the SUV careened off the right side of the road, turned-turtle and rested back on its wheel. Both Reed and Forbis, a passenger, were wearing seat belts.

The fast assistance of the Marion County Sheriff’s Department and the Philadelphia Rural Fire Department is important to save lives..
