BROCKTON – A single-car mishap injured a 24-year-old Brockton man Saturday morning. The incident happened on I-95 and the victim was immediately delivered to the hospital for treatment.

Mass. State Police reported that the crash occurred at about 4 o’clock in the morning at Attleboro. The unidentified Brockton man was traveling on I-95 north when his 2008 Ford Focus crashed near exit 2A.

The man sustained serious injuries and was transported to Rhode Island Hospital and until Saturday afternoon has not yet been released. Pending investigation, the injured identity was not given to the media.

Another incident happened the day before as rush hour traffic on the ground was halted on the A16 that night following an accident near the Sutterton roundabout.

The incident took place at 5o’clock in the afternoon when a black Vauxhall Corsa crashed with a silver Peugeot 206. The operator of the Peugeot was a 53-year-old woman resident of Gedney. She suffered from fractured leg and shoulder from the incident while the other driver, who was identified as a 23-year-old Boston woman sustained chest injuries.
Traffic was diverted to Kirton as the road was closed until about 8.30 p.m.
