First aid was rendered by the Chicago Fire Department responders to the injured victims of multi-car accident happening at 95th and Paxton Avenue in the Jeffrey Manor neighborhood, as narrated by Eric Clark.
Authorities reported that the accident claimed one life while two were hurt when a car rammed against a pole near a South Side intersection about 8:30 that Saturday morning.
The fatality, Wendy Moore, 26, of the 1200 block of North Laramie Avenue was taken to Advocate Trinity Hospital where she expired, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office spokesperson.
Two others victims in the car crash suffered major injuries. Chicago Fire Department Chief Joe Roccasalva stated that one in serious-to-critical condition was brought to the Advocate Christ Medical Center while the other in fair-to-serious condition was treated at the Advocate Trinity Hospital.
The Police department’s Major Accident Investigations Unit is closely monitoring the crash as the accident was the 95th occurring in Paxton Avenue, a neighborhood of Jeffrey Manor according to Chicago Police Department News Affairs Officer Laura Kubiak.
Fatality victim, Moore, a staff of the University of Illinois Chicago hospital, leaves behind a 5-year-old son, said her sister Ebonee Offord.
Offord added that her sister was a wonderful person who had a great sense of humor as she could make anyone laugh.
Four other people also died from a vehicular accident when the car hit a pool in Little Village at 1 a/m. It was the second fatal crash that Saturday morning in Chicago.
