ORLANDO, Fla. —A traffic stop at Orlando led to a car chase that hit three other vehicles on Monday night, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

It all started when troopers tried to pull over a 1998 Pontiac on SR-408 for having an expired tag. Instead of pulling over, the driver drove away from the scene and got off on Conway Road exit. He unfortunately struck three other cars before jumping out of the vehicle while the car was still running, investigators say.

Aleida Franco, one of the cars that were struck by the Pontiac, said that the guy ran with a gun on his hand.

Orlando Police were called to assist in the search of the two subjects. Witnesses saw the driver got into a black Honda and attempted to flee away. Fortunately, the police were able to stop the black Honda at Conway Road and Curry Ford Road. They found the driver, Antwan Penson, of the hit and run vehicle sitting on the passenger seat before he got out again and started running away.

The chase went about for half a mile on foot before law enforcement was able to capture 19 year old Antwann Penson. He was captured and faces multiple charges such as fleeing and eluding, running a red light and causing a crash, leaving the scene of a crash, driving without a license, possession of illegal drugs and possession of a firearm.
Troopers uncovered a revolver and crack-cocaine in the suspect’s car.

The driver of the black Honda that picked and helped Antwan Penson get away was arrested and identified to be Kasheena Laranda Scott. She was arrested and filed with charges of aiding and abetting for helping the suspect leave the scene of the traffic crash.

Law enforcers are still in search for the passenger inside the Pontiac who also ran away from the scene on foot. With the help from a surveillance video in a nearby gasoline station, investigators hope they will be able to identify the second suspect.
