An Atlanta Police Officer stated that the first mishap was a two-car accident which caused some minor injuries. The two-car wreck at Peachtree Road and Sheridan Drive in Buckhead happened during a rain at about 1 o’clock noon.

The injured officer was complaining of some neck pain but medical staff confirmed that he was otherwise OK. It was in downtown Atlanta in the morning that a car crashed into a traffic light pole while knocking it down.

According to the dispatchers the second car accident happened at around 7:30 o’clock in the morning at the intersection of Trinity Avenue and Forsyth Street. After knocking down the pole, the car drove away.

As the crew worked to clear the pole, the intersection is blocked. Traffic authorities are in the process of investigating the mishap.

The third accident that occurred on Monday morning, involved a car and a MARTA bus which tied up traffic on Candler Road in DeKalb County.

The MARTA spokeswoman, Cara Hodgson, said that the accident occurred shortly before 7 o’clock near Interstate 20.

The two people injured in the car were taken to a local hospital; although, a few passengers in the Hodgson bus suffered injuries but no one was transported to the hospital.

The police are still trying to find out what caused the accident. It is not yet clear how the accident occurred but driver of the Hodgson said that the operator of the car was at fault for he was not maintaining a lane.
