WEST MIAMI DADE – Two men were taken to the hospital when their sports car crashed into a concrete barrier on 836 in West Miami-Dade and became engulfed in fire.
The crash occurred at the eastbound lanes of the Dolphin near NOW 87th Avenue. It was reported to the authorities at 4:10 in the morning.
The vehicle, a Lamborghini, was traveling in a high rate of speed when the driver lost control of the vehicle and flipped over before bursting into flames.
A Good Samaritan, who wishes to remain unidentified, was driving directly behind the vehicle and saw the vehicle hit the wall and caught fire instantaneously.
The woman got out of her vehicle immediately and extricated the two men out of the burning vehicle.
The woman was not the only civilian who helped the victims.
Jonathan David had also stopped over and help pull out the victims.
David said that by helping them, he had put his life on the line. He sustained minor burns on his left hand whilst helping the victims.
Both of the victims were brought to Jackson Memorial Hospital where one is reported to be in critical condition while the other one is in stable condition.
However, a close friend of theirs said that one of the victims had serious burns while the other is brain dead.
The identities of the victims were not released.
It remains unclear whether alcohol contributed to the accident. The accident is being investigated by the Florida Highway Patrol.
