Malibu – A 44-years old driver of a tow truck was the fatality of hit-and-run crash which took place along the Highway of the Pacific Coast.
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s office, the mishap occurred a little after 9:00 Monday evening on John Tyler Drive at PCH near the University of Pepperdine.
Ronald Carver, who was identified as the victim is an employee of the Platinum Town and Transport. Carver was checking his vehicle stalled on the dark road when he was critically crashed by a car.
Carver, who resides in Newbury Park, died on the scene.
Police stated that the errant car was traveling along PCH for almost two miles when the female driver crashed on the stalled vehicle and then stopped.
The woman driver was identified as Jill Rose, age 44 and resident of Santa Monica. She was transported to the hospital sustaining minor injuries. After she was released from the hospital, she received these charges – felony hit-and-run and DUI.
Due to the accident and the investigation being conducted, the authorities closed down PCH eastbound lanes near the Malibu Pier and John Tyler Drive.
