In multi-vehicle accident took place on the eastbound Earhart expressway just at the vicinity of Carrollton Avenue. New Orleans police arrived on the scene to get more details about what caused the wreck. According to the Police spokesperson, the mishap happened at about 7:15 o’clock in the morning and it involved eight vehicles.

The accident involved several vehicles that were going east towards the end of the Expressway at Earhart just before Monroe Street near Carrollton Avenue. The mishap caused morning traffic to back-up for commuters and motorists.

One of the vehicles involved was a delivery truck. Among the vehicles involved was a Coca Cola truck and several of the others.

Only one lane in the area was open but by 9:15 o’clock in the morning, all lanes were reopened. Authorities are advising motorists to take Airline Highway or River Road as alternate routes.
