The York Regional Police are requesting the drivers of the three vehicles present in a car collision to come forward for any information pertaining to the incident that happened in Newmarket on a Monday.
Three vehicles—a Dodge Avenger, a Honda CRV and a White SUV—had all stopped at Davis Drive and Prospect Street at the scene of accident, according to the police. The police are appealing to the persons in the specified vehicles to reach them and share any information that could benefit the ensuing investigation.
The mentioned car crash involves a Hyundai Santa Fe and Honda Civic that had occurred at about 4:50 in the afternoon. The Hyundai Santa Fe was driving eastbound on Davis Drive when it hit the other car that was travelling north on Prospect.
The 26-year old driver, which the police had not released a name but only says is from Newmarket, of the Civic was rushed to a Toronto trauma centre and had suffered serious condition but had later on perished because of the extent of his injuries.
The other driver, a 46-year old woman from Whitchurch-Stouffville, was brought to the hospital and only sustained minor injuries.
