Northeast Philadelphia – At least, one person died after a car collided with a school bus then hit another car in NE Philadelphia.

It was around 4:00 o’clock in the afternoon when the accident happened along Roosevelt Blvd. at the vicinity in Comfy Rd.

The woman-driver, age 46, was trying to negotiate an illegal turn at the intersection of Roosevelt Blvd. and Plaza Dr, when she was hit by a school bus and another vehicle.

The victim was transported to Frankford Aria Health where she was pronounced dead after admittance. No other injuries were reported from the accident.

The police of Philadelphia police are investigating a fatal accident that involved a school bus in NE Philadelphia.

It was about 4:00 o’clock in the afternoon when the accident happened at the Roosevelt Blvd. along the vicinity of Plaza Dr.

A NE Philadelphian woman died as a result of the three -vehicle crash along Roosevelt Blvd. and Plaza Dr. The School Bus involved in the crash belonged to the Class One bus company. It was fortunate that no student was aboard the bus at the time of the crash.

Police reported that the woman was driving at the outside lanes of the Blvd., going north when she tried to move to the inner lanes. Plaza drive bans such a lane switch. After the vehicle merged, the vehicle collided with the School Bus and then continues to slam into another passenger car. The car operator sustained minor injuries while the driver of the bus was not harmed.

Due to the collision, the inner drive of the Blvd was closed after the crash occurred at about 4:00 o’clock that afternoon. Police surmised that the weather must have been a factor of the crash as it was raining at that time. Police did not give the name of the fatality to the media as her closest kin has not yet been notified

According to police, the woman driver negotiated an illegal turn at the intersection of Plaza Dr. and Roosevelt Blvd. In the process, the vehicle hit a school bus and another car.

Suffering critical injuries, she was transported to Aria Health Torresdale Campus, where she died at 4:50 o’clock in the afternoon.

Police reported that at least there were no children on the bus at the time of the accident.

Roosevelt Boulevard’s inner lanes were closed between Roosevelt Boulevard and Plaza Drive as police conducted their investigation.

Police identified the fatality as Dana Gabriela Pintilie, age 45, resident of Elkins Park, Montgomery County.

Police confirmed that the accident happened at about 4:00 o’clock in the after at the Boulevard and Plaza Drive. She was immediately transported to the Aria Health’s Frankford Campus but pronounced dead a few minutes after admission.
