MILLVILLE — A collision between a Sheppard school bus and a car at 5th and Vine streets. was the cause of injuries sustained by a student The young victim suffered minor injury last Wednesday afternoon in a collision involving two vehicles that of a Sheppard school bus and a car at 5th and Vine streets.
According to Chief John Redden of Millville Rescue Squad, the collision was what police referred to as a T-bone type accident causing substantial damage to the front end of the bus.
A car had also suffered major damage. There was also a third vehicle involved in the wreck which was a Verizon work truck. There was no report what happened to the driver.
Redden said that the school bus was relatively full, carrying high school students. Fortunately, only one 15-year-old female complained of shoulder pain One minor injury occurred, involving a 15-year-old female who complained of shoulder pain. Pending investigation of the mishap, the Police have not released information on the accident or possible charges that maybe filed against person/s responsible for the crash. The accident took place at around 2:30 o’clock in the afternoon.
