A car that lost control on a curve before crashing into a milk truck in Phoenix claimed the life of three people on Friday, according to Baltimore County police.

According to the police, a Volkswagen Jetta was driving on northbound on Jarrettsville Pike when the vehicle crossed the center line and found itself directly onto the path of an oncoming truck.

The impact made the Jetta overturn on its left side, meanwhile; the truck crashed a tree and remained on an upright position although its tanker was flipped on its left side, according to the police.

The accident had happened at 6:09 in the morning at 12600 block of jarretts Pike, just north of the intersection with Dulaney Valley Road.

The driver of the Volkswagen, 46-year-old Daniel Kenneth Jagodzinski from the 8000 block of Del Haven Road in Dundalk, and his passenger on the front seat, 24-year-old Keith Sheldon Weimer Jr. from the 8000 block of Stratman Road in Dundalk, were both declared dead on the scene.

The other passenger of the Volkswagen that was seated on the back-seat, 25-year-old Justin Christian Malone from the 200 block of Charter Oak Place in Bel Air, was initially brought to Maryland Shock Trauma Center via an ambulance for sustaining life-threatening injuries. He was later declared dead shortly after 12:30 in the afternoon.

The truck driver, 43-year-old Timothy Shawn Fitzgerald from the unit block of Goram Road in Brogue, Pa., was brought to Sinai Hospital and was later on discharged from the hospital.

Alcohol was not believed to by the police to be a contributory factor in the accident.
