FORT LAUDERDALE, Fl., — Separate vehicular accidents in Broward County claims three lives.
On the first incident, 59-year-old Lawrence Weir of Lauderdale Lakes was struck by a 2003 Dodge Ram 2500 that was driven by 58-year-old Donald Evans while crossing Northwest 31st Avenue near 13th Street shortly before 7 in the evening of Saturday. The driver stopped and waited for the police to arrive. Weir was taken to Broward Health Medical Center wehre he was pronounced dead.
The second incident, meanwhile, claimed the life of 27-year-old Nicole Catherine Kuncl from West Palm Beach. Kuncl was traveling southbound on I-95 on Sunday shortly before 2 a.m. when she lost control of her vehicle. The vehicle swerved to the right hand shoulder where in the 2000 Ford Explorer turned over and struck a tree. Kuncl was ejected from her vehicle. She was pronounced dead at Broward Health North Medical Center.
On the third incident, a front seat passenger was killed after the vehicle he was in crashed into a light pole. The driver, 55-year-old Mitchell Striggles from Margate was driving his 2002 Chrysler Concorde at around 1:15 in the afternoon of Sunday northbound on I-95 when he lost the control of his vehicle while exiting Copans Road in Pompano Beach and crashed into a light pole. Front seat passenger, 36-year-old Gerva Dwight McKaskill, Jr., died instantaneously.
