At least two people were brought to the hospital after a mishap happened in Schuylkill Expressway. A truck driver losing control of his truck caused it to fall down an embankment.
The police said that the truck fell down an embankment and went straight to a construction zone.
After the truck settled at the construction, two people were injured and had to be brought to the hospital. The truck driver claimed that he lost control of his vehicle at the Schuylkill Expressway. The accident occurred at 6 p.m. that evening in the vicinity of Upper Merion’s Gulph Mills Exit.
According to the police, the truck just went straight down the embankment and rolled towards the construction zone. They brought two victims to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries. Police are looking into the cause of the crash as it is unclear why the driver lost control of his vehicle and down to the embankment. The condition of both victims confined in the hospital was not made public.
Last month, another accident happened at Schuylkill Expressway (I-76) eastbound lanes. It was a tractor-trailer crash in the vicinity of the University Avenue exit around midmorning. The truck rolled over and was blocking all the lanes that the police decided to close the road. However it was reopened a few hours later when the road was cleared..
There were no fatalities although the truck driver had to be transported to the local hospital for minor injuries. Fire officials say that no other person was injured and no other vehicle was damaged.
