Last Thursday, a police officer was involved in an accident in Bucks County.

At around 7:30 o’clock in the evening, the wreck took place at the intersection of Route 308 and Lawn Avenue while two officers from Pennridge were helping a driver with his disabled vehicle.

An approaching white vehicle smashed against the police car, which was pushed into another police car, and it was the car which hit one of the officers jostling him into a guard rail.

The officer who was pushed into the guard rail sustained minor knee and back injuries. She was immediately transported to Grand View Hospital for treatment.

The other officer was not harmed.

The civilian white vehicle that struck the police car had three passengers who sustained minor injuries. They were also taken to a local hospital for treatment.

The police issued no more information about the crash as they are conducting the investigation.
